Welcome to our website! We’re an Australian/German couple who moved to Australia some time ago. We had a lot to consider and organize before making the decision to move Down Under. We’ve found that some things in Australia are unfamiliar and may seem a bit odd from a European point of view, but other things are quite positive, such as the general friendliness of Australians.

After meeting on a glacier in Norway 30 years back, we had a long-distance relationship that led to marriage 24 years ago. Before we decided to move to Australia, we had lived together in Germany for about 18 years. We now live on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland.

Originally, these pages were intended for our friends and acquaintances. However, we’d like to share our experiences with a wider audience and hope you’ll find them helpful or interesting. Although the following pages and blog entries have been written to the best of our knowledge and belief, we make no claim to completeness or 100% accuracy.
